NTT DATA Creates $30B IT Services Powerhouse

NTT Corporation and NTT DATA Corporation finalized the creation of NTT DATA, Inc. and formally launched their combined international business to accelerate clients’ IT modernization and digital transformations. This consolidation creates an IT services powerhouse with total revenues of approximately USD$30 billion. Revenue of USD$18 billion is generated outside Japan by a team of 140,000 professionals serving clients in more than 80 countries.

NTT DATA, Inc. is headed by Kazuhiro “Kaz” Nishihata, an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience leading international businesses, including NTT DATA’s Global Business Sector, NTT Global Networking, and European business.

“NTT has been a long-time strategic partner for City of Las Vegas helping us with our ongoing digital transformation efforts with the deployment of NTT Smart Solutions in 2017 to assist us in better serving our citizens, communities, and businesses,” said Michael Sherwood, chief innovation officer for City of Las Vegas. “We are excited to continue our partnership by expanding on the capabilities and offerings across all of the new NTT DATA, Inc., highlighted by working with us on a cloud migration and private network project to create even more opportunities for businesses, government and educational institutions.”

NTT has grown its international business by more than 20 percent annually since 2007. NTT DATA, Inc. represents an unmatched range of business and technology consulting, industry solutions, application and digital services, edge-to-cloud infrastructure, BPO, systems integration, and global data centers.

“As enterprises continue to strategically invest in digital services and applications, equal consideration must be given to the infrastructure and operational best practices that support them. By bringing together NTT DATA and NTT Ltd., the newly formed entity will have the ability to deliver truly advanced digital innovations underpinned by robust end-to-end capabilities.” said Gard Little, Vice President, Global Services Markets and Trends, IDC.

“This new beginning enables us to accelerate growth outside of Japan. Together we will connect people and technology to create a more sustainable future,” said NTT DATA, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Kaz Nishihata. “We will continue to focus on clients and people first as we transform our company to deliver a full stack of innovative services.”

The company will promote a unified understanding of global clients and their industries, make the brand more trusted around the world, and increase corporate value by strengthening market competitiveness.
